Dr. Koray Erdogan, Istanbul - Biografie
Dr. KORAY ERDOGAN M.D. absolvierte 1994 an der Hacettepe Universität (Ankara) die Fakultät für Medizin und vollendete seinen medizinischen Dienst in Kastamonu. Danach besuchte er die Fakultät für Thoraxchirurgie an der Marmara Universität in Istanbul und arbeitete auf der koronaren Intensivstation.Im Jahr 2000 begann er im Bereich der Haarverpflanzung, mit der Unterstützung mehrerer Haarchirurgen in ihren Privatkliniken. Im Jahr 2001 eröffnete er seine eigene Klinik in Istanbul, zusammen mit seiner ersten Assistentin Dilek Cakir, unter dem Namen ASMED.Nach dem Treffen mit Dr. Alex Ginzburg in einem Workshop im Jahr 2004 sah er live eine FUE-Prozedur und begann anschließend seine FUT-Verfahren mit FUE zu kombinieren. Bis zum Jahr 2005 erkannte er, dass FUE Patienten deutlich glücklicher mit ihren Ergebnissen als wie FUT Patienten waren, weil kleinere Hautschäden an der Kopfhaut und weniger sichtbare Narben, auch mit kurzen Haaren, zu sehen sind. Von diesem Zeitpunkt an, verbesserte Dr. Erdogan seine Technik, Leistung und die Ergebnisse durch die Entwicklung eigener Instrumente und Methoden der Entnahmen. Die Verwendung dieser Instrumente und Methoden sind auf Konferenzen und Workshops auf der ganzen Welt gezeigt worden, und wurden wieder während des mediterranen FUE Workshops in Istanbul, Türkei im Juni 2015, präsentiert. Derzeit führt Dr. Erdogan und seine Assistentin Dilek (seit mehr als 18 Jahren Erfahrung im Bereich der HT) ausschließlich das FUE-Verfahren durch und weiterhin empfangen wir Patienten aus der ganzen Welt, einschließlich Europa, Nordamerika, Asien, Australien und Afrika.

ESHRS European Society of Hair Restauration Surgery (Mitgliedschaft seit 2005), ISHRS International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (2007-2015 - Er hat die Mitgliedschaft freiwillig verlassen), ISHR Italian Society of Hair Restoration participant (Mitgliedschaft seit 2010), IAHRS International Alliance of Hair Restoration Surgeons (Mitgliedschaft seit 2013), World FUE Institute (Präsident seit 2018 Februar).
Nach Einführung der FUE hat sich die Definition der Haartransplantation geändert. Homogenisierung ist der neue Standard für das Aussehen der Haare als Ergebnis geworden.

FUE: Basic and Advanced Techniques
FUE has come a long way from its initial inception. This article will attempt to describe early approaches to FUE and the basic concepts and elements of FUE that later developed including the evaluation and preservation of the donor area; the use of equipment such as the manual, motorized, and robotic punch; punch sizes and types; and specific FUE terminology such as transection, splay, splitting, and the anchor system. This chapter will define the countries of West Asia and aim to focus on the typical hair loss patterns, hair structure and characteristics, as well as possible FUE surgical complications of this ethnic group. Gigasessions with FUE: How to Avoid Complications
The popularity of FUE has greatly increased over the past decade and a half, and it continues to become more and more popular each day. What was once considered an acceptable procedure for only a limited number of cases has now become the standard for severe hair loss cases such as Norwood V and VI. As the attractiveness of FUE solutions intensified, so did the expectations of the patients, forcing surgeons to address the need for increased graft numbers in a limited surgical time frame. Thanks to enhanced technology and techniques, superior instrumentation, as well as the enriched skills of doctors and technicians, gigasessions of 4000 graft transplants or more in one session became possible. However, gigasessions are not without risk and are certainly not applicable to all cases. With gigasessions came a new problem: overharvesting and donor depletion and many cases of this have been documented in recent years. As a result, donor management and preservation have become the main focus of FUE surgeons as they revise FUE state-of-the-art criteria.
